William “Quayshaun” Carter – Chairmen and CEO

William “Quayshaun” Carter is the CEO of Que Records LLC. His work has included rapping as well as collaboration and consultation with executives and artists over 22 years in the music business. His company states he has assisted in generating over 100 million dollars in revenue for companies such as Uptown Records, Ruffhouse Records, BMG, and Tommy Boy Records. Mr. Carter was signed to Epic Records and managed by Top Ten

Entertainment. Top Ten’s owner, Daren Chandler, and Industry legend Jimmy Maynes and Jimmy Jenkins. Jimmy “Jimmy Love” Jenkins, along with Daren Chandler and Jimmy Maynes taught Mr. Carter music the industry. He toured with Jodeci, Father MC, Mary J. Blige, Boyz II Men, F.S. Effect, Small Change, Big Daddy Kane, and Eric B & Rakim. This later turned into an independent promotions position under Jimmy Jenkins at Uptown Records. From Uptown Records, Mr. Carter went to work for Frank Toro at Tommy Boy Records Department. After his tenure there, Mr. Carter began to independently promote projects with Timlan Entertainment via Anton Barnes. Mr. Carter worked on projects including Notorious

B.I.G, Total, Coolio, Naughty By Nature, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Fugees, and Lauryn Hill. According to his company, he contributed to Lauryn Hill’s decision to become a solo artist. He was also a partner and co-founder in Sleeping Giant Music Group, an independent entertainment consulting firm. Sleeping Giant had a number of functions: consultants to then President of Legal and Business Affairs of BMG Music, Dennis Kelman, management to Freddy Jackson and Taral Hicks, and consultant to R&B group Divine. Mr. Carter also helped with international tours for artists in several genres.

his own company Hood Management, LLC. At Hood, he worked with Felecia Lindsey- Howse (Mo Thugs), The Ying Yang Twins (TVT), The Nappy Roots (Fontana/Universal), Petey Pablo (Jive), and new artists Ms Dade County and Gingabread Man.

In 2009 Mr. Carter partnered with High powered Ent/E1 and Lil Flip’s Label Clover G’s to release the album “Respect Me”. In 2010 Mr. Carter, with his Que Records Label, signed a joint venture distribution deal with EMI Label Services. In October 2011 Que Records, with Rap artist Huey’s label O.M.G Ent., released the underground album Redemption.

Mr. Carter is currently working with on projects to be released in 2014 with Sony/Red Distribution. He continues to work in the music industry, speaking at conventions and engagements around the country and managing artists. Mr. Carter also manages the producers the Heavy Weights and Dre Ski who have produced records for such artists as Ne-Yo, Heather Headley, Snoop Dogg, Rihanna, MGK and others.
